• A plea of "Guilty" or “No Contest” is required when requesting a payment plan.
• Payment plans must be approved by the judge.
  • You must appear in court and request a payment plan on or before your scheduled court date.
  • You request a payment plan prior to your court date by completing the Municipal Court  Plea Form. The payment plan request must be signed and returned to Big Sandy Municipal Court on or before your scheduled court date. 
  • If the judge approves your payment plan, a copy will be provided to you for your records.

• Citations with payment plans not paid within 30 days will be assessed a state mandated $15.00 time payment fee.
• Once the judge approves your payment plan, please remember:
  • Warrants can be issued if the payment plan payment is more than 10 days late.
  • Extensions for payment plans can be granted by the judge.  To schedule a court date to see the judge, please call 903.636.5534.
